Bay Capital District BPW member JoAnn Landingham is with the Peace Corps in Maikain, Kazakstan.  She teaches English.  While she has textbooks, she needs library books with pictures for the children. 

Here is what she was looking for:

"The school has textbooks for English, German, Russian and Kazak, but TEXTS are just that.  They are lessons and grammar.  Stories and picture books are for pleasure, to help reenforce language skills, for understanding meanings or multiple meanings of words and phrases, for story lines and fun.

I am hoping someone sends me a playbook with play scripts so we can do productions, also song books and activities we can modify and learn from.

Any books written for elementary or high school students are welcome, including story and picture books in good condition, new or used, and children's magazines for reading material.  As to shipping, use Book Rate.  It is slow, but it gets here and I will be here until 2005.
