Welcome to Business & Professional Women's
Individual Development Training

BPW's Individual Development course helps you speak up confidently and effectively for issues that are important to you.

Individual Development is more than a beginning level public speaking course.

  • It helps you evaluate and assess your skills and competencies.
  • It introduces you to informal, as well as formal, speaking and group discussions.
  • It teaches you to speak more effectively whether asking for a raise, a new assignment, or a new job.

With Individual Development, you are on your way to personal growth.

You...

  • Develop a basic knowledge of effective communication, including impromptu and prepared speaking - and have fun while doing it.
  • Learn more about yourself, with increased self-confidence and improved self-image - by learning to communicate more effectively.
  • Receive opportunities to assess your potential and progress through group interactions and evaluations.
  • Nurture latent group leadership potential by developing effective communication and self-expression.
  • Train in planning meetings and using parliamentary procedure, etiquette and protocol as ways to develop teamwork and good morale.
  • Develop competitive skills within an environment of mutual support.
  • Participate in a forum on issues affecting working women that will increase awareness and encourage examination of those issues.

BPW/USA is a national network of women and men dedicated to improving opportunities for women in the work force. Founded in 1919, BPW has earned its reputation as the voice of working women. The mission of BPW/USA is straightforward and clear:
BPW/USA promotes full participation, equity and economic self-sufficiency for working women.
The Individual Development course is one of the very best ways to fulfill this mission by helping individual working women develop skills and abilities.

I'd like information on current classes. Here is my completed form.

Or I'll send an email to the BPW/USA Individual Development Chair.
